A Little Girl's Dreams

Like a little girl

I too had little dreams,

Little inspirations, little aspirations.

Like the blade of green grass,
Wanted to dance merrily with the wind.
Like the butterfly with colorful wings,
Laze on the flowers as they swing.

Like the fluffy clouds in the sky,
Wander freely high above the mountains.
Like the princess in the fairy tales,
Play with dainty fairies and elves.

Today also I have little dreams,
Little inspirations, little aspirations.
They are up there with the sunshine,

I can see them beaming at me.

Someday I will follow them,
I will chase them and catch them.
Maybe this time, I'll make it,
Unfettered and unbounded by gravity.

The Kites

Today the sky is like a canvas,

Rendered with vibrant hues.

Colorful kites soaring high in the sky,
Some steady while some struggling to fly.

Aspirations tangled to the string,

Some sprinting, some trailing.

One string binds the kite to you;

Loosen it and the kite will soar higher,

As if chasing dreams were always easier.

Cut the string that binds the kite to you;

It will soar freely in tandem with the breeze,
As if freedom was its destiny.
